J'avais besoin de faire le point après le mariage de ma fille, une grosse grippe qui m'a laissée sans force et les derniers évènements en Israel...
Mais bref, on oublie tout et on repart de plus belle ;0)))
Je vous mets un petit compte-rendu écrit par Susan de la dernière réunion de club qui a eu lieu sans moi et malheureusement sans le groupe des françaises suite à un malencontreux malentendu
du à l'annulation ou au report de la réunion :0(...
Pas grave puisque la prochaine réunion a lieu mardi prochain ;0))
Voici donc en anglais le rapport de la dernière réunion
Hello Fellow Cross stitchers,
It's me again, Susan. Sorry for the mixup about the meeting, but we did have a very nice meeting, with four of us: three English speakers, + Pnina! (Sorry, Pnina, I couldn't
resist......)
So there we were----me, Gloria, Melanie, and Pnina. We admired each other's contributions to Melanie's "insect" round robin. Susan (me) gave us a short lesson, using paper instead of
cloth, on how to put squares together with sashing ( a quilting term for strips which connect the squares.) Melanie was working on another lovely crocheted afghan which she actually give away to
chariuty. And then we looked at my multi- craft potholders, which were embroidered, with some cross stitch, appliqued, drawn with crayon, and quilted by machine.
We didn't discuss other members of the group at all, so don't worry. We had some crudites and dairy dip, vodka (whoops! Shouldn't mention that.....) and coffee and
cinnamon buns baked by guess who. One thing we really noticed that was missing, aside from, of course, Rolande and the entire Hadera contingent, was FRENCH! There was NO FRENCH!
So we are looking forward to all of us being at the meeting next month. Au revoir! And Rolande, get better FAST!

Comme je suis plutôt très occupée ces derniers temps au boulot, Susan m' a donc aidée en envoyant un mail de rappel aux membres de notre
club.

Dear Ladies of the Cross stitch,
I've been in touch with Rolande, and it turns out she's very busy at work. She asked me to e mail all of you, which, as you see, I am doing, even as we speak. (virtually) The meeting
will be at my house again, on Feb. 3., lets say 6:00. Please remember to bring your squares of insects for Melanie's round robin, if you haven't already done so. I will find out from
Rolande whose round robin is next. (although using our all -the -squares- at -once method, it's not as crucial.)

Notre prochaine reunion sera chez moi le 3 fevrier.(------ Raanana, tele. 09 --------) Malheureusement, Rolande est tres occupe de son travaille (dans le magasin de vitamins). Priere
d'apporter vos broideries d'insectes pour Melanie, si vous n'avez pas deja l'apporter. Ensuite, Rolande nous a dira quelle round robin est prochaine. (Mais en ce cas , c'est moins
important qu'avant.)
J'espere que ce fois tout le monde pourra arriver. Au dernier reunion, nous avons bien note l'absence des francophones.
Priez d'excuser mon francais, mais vous savez que je suis americaine, et pour un americane, c'est pas mal!
