Le soir, tous les bars, les cafés, les restaurants, les cinémas et les théâtres sont fermés. Une cérémonie se déroule au Mur des Lamentations à Jérusalem et une sirène du souvenir retentit pendant une minute à 20 heures. La journée du 22 avril est un jour de deuil et une nouvelle sonnerie du souvenir de 2 minutes retentit à 11 heures pendant lesquelles le pays se recueille.Mercredi 22 avril au soir, dans une transition pas toujours facile, la douleur laissera place à la joie et les Israéliens fêteront le 67e anniversaire de l’Indépendance de l’Etat d’Israël. Le jeudi 23 avril 2015 sera donc un jour férié."
